2025 Quarter 4 Newsletter
We can hardly believe it is December already, 2025 has absolutely flown by however, when we look back at everything we have achieved this year it is easy to see why! We have welcomed 7 new Members to LSBUD this year, launched our service in Northern Ireland, hosted a Safe Digging Event in Belfast, our National Damage Prevention Day was arguably the best one to date and you may have noticed the new and improved logo above following our recent rebrand which you can read more about below.
On top of the above, 2025 has been a multiple record breaking year in terms of searches. July saw a record number of monthly enquiries with October then proceeding to break the record for a second time this year with 381,870 enquiries in one month! November was also a record-breaker with an average of 17,513 enquiries per day, almost 2000 more per day than the highest average of 2024. All of this means that by the end of the year we will hopefully have broken that 4 million checkpoint which we are really proud of as it means we are helping to keep more and more people safe whilst digging which is our ultimate goal.

We hope you’ve been having a fabulous summer and enjoying all this lovely weather we have had this year. Here at LSBUD we have certainly had a great few months with so much going on. There was even a record-breaking month in July when we received 380,939 enquiries during the month which is the highest monthly figure we have ever recorded!
In terms of enquiry numbers, with over 2.7 million enquiries submitted so far this year, we are receiving around 4% more enquiries than 2024 and are expecting to break the 4 million checkpoint by the end of the year. This really is a staggering number and means even more of you are choosing to search before you dig which is fantastic!
Momentum is also increasing in Northern Ireland with over 2500 searches submitted since we launched. Trends are still being established but there is definite growth month on month which can only be a good thing and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have.
2025 Quarter 2 Newsletter
We can hardly believe where the time is going in 2025, there has been so much happening we feel as though our feet have hardly touched the ground. You will have read in the last newsletter, but March saw the launch of LSBUD in Northern Ireland which was a huge milestone for us. It is too early to see any kind of trends however we can see that the enquiries are growing and as new Members join this will only continue so watch this space for more insights as the months progress.
In terms of enquiry numbers, following a plateau in figures for the first time during 2024 it seems numbers are increasing again this year with over 1,650,000 enquiries already having been submitted and we are not even half way through the year. We love seeing these figures rise as it means more and more of you are choosing to search before you dig which is fantastic!
